"Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
GOD, the Lord, is my strength;
He makes my feet like the deer's;
He makes me tread on my high places."

(Habakkuk 3:17-19)

Samantha...the book of Habakkuk is one of my favorites and I love this passage. In my Precepts class we are studying the minor prophets so this one was one I just recently finished. This is another verse that I love from Habakkuk;

"For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.
Behold, as for the proud one,
his soul is not right within him;
But the righteous will live by his faith."
Habakkuk 2:3-4

"The righteous shall live by faith"...even when all seems to be falling a part around him and the vine bears no fruit and justice seems to be delayed..he remembers and believes God's promises and declares that he can still rejoice and be joyful while he waits for God to perform justice and have victory. Amen..we see that victory in the cross of Christ and we will see it at His return.

Blessings to you Sam!!

Amen Laurie! It is a good book to read when we are suffering through trials, learning how to wait on Him and remember His promises!!
